Fallon had grown up wanting for nothing, she knew what the rich Wall Street types could give her, and it was everything she could get herself. She didn’t want that, she had never wanted someone to buy everything for her. A relationship had two people in it, and she knew better than to expect the cost of everything be one-sided. And that would be exactly what those Wall Street suits would have wanted from her; some tiny little blonde trophy wife. For a girl who grew up the way she had, she wouldn’t have been the least bit happy in a relationship like that; even if she could fill her days with teaching and helping at Trevor’s New York offices. Gabe gave her something those suits wouldn’t have been able to; a friend in the man she loved. Gabe wouldn’t expect that from her and he made her happy; that was what she wanted in the end.
She had never thought she’d get the chance to have all this with Gabe. Fallon had figured when she heard he was going back home that he would find some girl he used to know in high school or something and realize there was something there. All those years ago the thought had bothered her, but back then, she wasn’t exactly sure why. She just knew that it did, and had brushed it off. Now that they were together, she didn’t know why it had taken them so long to get there. And she couldn’t picture a life without him in it somewhere, at least now she knew where in the grand scheme of things he stood with her. “Mm, I really hope you don’t get tired of saying that,” she said, opening her eyes from the tender kiss. She knew she wasn’t going to tire of hearing it for a very, very long time.
It was only natural that Gabe would want to show her where he grew up. She knew nearly everything about the man, except where he’d become who he was. Everything before that day on campus she didn’t know much of. There were brothers, and a ranch turned animal shelter but there wasn’t much else she knew. And she wanted to know, she wanted to see firsthand where he grew up. She wanted to see these fields he talked about constantly, imagine a younger Gabe running around in those fields with his brothers and friends. He had already seen where she’d called home for most of her life. He’d been to the studios with her, been to the casting calls that she couldn’t avoid. He’d hit the beach backing her backyard a hundred times or more with the rest of the guys. Now it was her turn. “No, I’m not surprised,” she said honestly. And she wasn’t, it was more that she was surprised he would ask her then and there than that he did ask her. “Well, if camping’s involved, how could I possibly say no even if I wanted to, which I don’t,” she asked rolling her eyes. As reluctantly as Gabe seemed, Fallon sat back in her chair and opened her menu. She’d been in the mood for fajitas since forever it seemed, and she was hoping the meal was written somewhere in the menu so she could satisfy that craving.

Money had never been something that mattered to Gabe. His family had it, but it was nothing to boast about. He had lived a comfortable life far from poverty, but they didn’t live in some expensive home either; in fact, most of Gabe’s memories of his teenage years involved his brothers helping to fix something on the ranch and the problems ranged from leaky pipes to holes in the roof. The ranch had been in the family for over fifty years and it did fall into disrepair from time to time, especially over the winter when it was harder for them to keep on top of all of the upkeep so easily. Gabe loved everything about the place though, even when it was falling apart. Maybe they could’ve moved someplace else, more modern and nicer to look at, but it wouldn’t have been home and Gabe didn’t care about where he lived so long as it could be a home to him. He had his books and to him, knowledge was far more important than the size of his monthly paycheque. One day he’d be a professor like his mom, but right now he was still happy to put letters after his name and spend hours in the library writing research papers for his own entertainment. There were so many more important things in life than material things and, call him a romantic, he thought love was one of them and he had found that in Fallon Flynn, finally!
He couldn’t wrap his head around how perfect life seemed to be right now and seemed to be starting each morning with a small pinch, just to make sure that he wasn’t dreaming everything. Myles was probably ready to kill the lovesick scholar, but Gabe simply couldn’t help but walk around with that smile on his face and the bounce in his step. Grinning against her soft lips, Gabe shook his head. “It’s not possible, beautiful.”
He said quietly, meaning every word. He honestly couldn’t get bored of saying it, hearing it or anything else that they had together now. He had to keep himself and his thoughts in check sometimes, but he honestly thought that this was the kind of love that Hollywood had overdone so many times that it seemed impossible for it to be real; yet he had it. Gabe had wanted to show Fallon his home for years now, but before they had had their own lives getting in the way and whenever he was off home for a few days, she seemed to have been busy with work and her students. He wanted her to see everything though, especially since Myles had been down there and finally understood everything Gabe had been telling him about since they met during rush week at UCLA. “Camping, swimming in the lake, my gramps probably hiding everything you leave around…you’ll probably get to see pictures of me as a kid too; and no laughing at the milk bottle glasses! I was blind from a young age.” They really were shameful photographs of a young Gabriel, but he knew that his mom would waste no time at all in pulling out the albums and using them to bond with Fallon. He glanced over the menu and quickly decided on the chicken pitta with fries. [/blockquote][/blockquote] • • • TAGGED! Fall <3 WORDS! 589 OUTFIT! Date night! LYRICS! Fallon hadn’t wanted that happily ever after Disney showed in every movie or the white picket fence with the two point four children; despite loving Cinderella and everything she represented. After what had happened to her, the thought of an ever after hadn’t even crossed her mind. And children were never thought of. Growing up, she’d lived a crazy life, not one a child should have been subjected to, even if she did get the best education available to her and she did things other kids only dreamed of. She’d met celebrities, had dinners and lunches with a-listers and all before she’d turned ten. As much fun as it had been, she knew if she ever decided to leave her teaching career that was what her life would be again. Hers was a unique situation. Now, she wanted memories more than anything. She wanted to look back on her life and know that she’d done everything she could to make herself happy. “Good because I think it will be for me, too,” she said, blushing.
There was no way she was ever going to get tired of hearing Gabe say those three words. They were simple but they meant so much. And she certainly wasn’t anywhere near bored of saying them to him either. She hadn’t realized how much she loved him and for how long. Now though, it seemed like she’d been subconsciously thinking about Gabe being hers for a really long time; since UCLA. She wasn’t sure if happily ever after could really happen, but she was willing to try and figure it out with Gabe. And that included seeing where he grew up. He’d already seen so much of her life, having moved to California for UCLA.
It was her turn to see everything. She hadn’t had the chance to go whenever Gabe went back home. Trevor snatched her up and filled her free time with work at the studio whenever he could. If she had a day off from classes and was off shift at Starbucks or the university, she was on set, telling people what to do and where to go. She was in representative on those days when he would sneak away from a round of golf with friends or whatever he wanted to do on his whims. “Photo albums!” she exclaimed, clapping her hands and smiling at the thought of getting her hands on those. So far pictures from Gabe’s childhood had been elusive, while Fallon’s hung on the wall of the house she had shared with Trevor. He’d gone a little camera happy while she’d grown up, snapping pictures of this and that and scrapbooking them all together in memories neither of them would forget. “And I don’t leave things lying around for people to hide though if he finds it a game, maybe something can go missing,” she added, grinning. She didn’t have grandparents; the last remaining one past when she was six so she couldn’t remember much.

Gabe might not have known the reason behind Fallon’s break up with Brad for many years, but he had seen the aftermath first hand. She might not have been the girl who dreamt of big white dresses, but he knew that the break-up had disillusioned her idea of romance and was the reason she had shied away from dating and relationships up until that fateful night where one drink too many had finally pushed him and her across the line they must have been dancing along for quite some time, especially if it had been an obvious inevitability to the boys of Pi Kappa Phi. The scholar was nothing like Brad and their similarities ended at “member of a Fraternity” and even that wasn’t the same one. He made no promises just yet and talking about the future was something neither of them seemed to do, but he knew that he wanted to keep Fallon in his, no matter what else fate threw at him. His smile grew wider, his arms pulling Fallon as close as was physically possible right now. “You’re cute when you blush.”
He said in a whisper, kissing the tip of her nose lightly before remembering that they did have a date to go on at some point. He had never imagined that he would actually be going on a date with Fallon, let alone be whispering those three little words at every chance he got. Gabe’s biggest worry now was scaring her off, doing something that she wasn’t ready for. They might have been hiding these feelings for seven years, but this was still very new and Gabe didn’t want to lose it by letting his mouth say something that would have her running for the hills. Taking her home to Nebraska, showing her his life before UCLA and introducing her to his family was the next step, and hopefully one that would go down well. He knew his family would love Fallon and probably mention just how much he had spoken about her over the years. Shaking his head, Gabe couldn’t hide the smirk. Of everything he could promise her about Nebraska, he ought to have known that Fallon would find excitement in the idea of raiding those old family photo albums, seeing the state Gabe was in during those awkward teenage years when he was trying to figure out who he was. He was just relieved that she wouldn’t be able to smuggle any of them back to New York and plaster the corridors and the library in those old photographs that his mom simply lovely to flaunt whenever Gabe brought company over. “Of course you’d love that.” He shook his head again and then flicked his dark eyes up to meet those of his girlfriend. “Just remember; you’re in love with the weird kid you’re going to see in those pictures.” His gramps was a pretty funny character and the kind of magical figure every child ought to have in their lives. He had been the man who had taught Gabe all of those little magic tricks and even now he was still able to get one over on the intelligent man. He flashed Fallon his empty hands as he spoke. “He’ll find something. He’s worse than I am for this.” He produced a small box seemingly out of nowhere and flicked it across the table surface to Fallon. He had seen this cute cocktail ring a few days ago and the colour of the stone reminded him of her eyes, as corny as it sounded. Gabe had wasted no time in hopping inside the small store and spending the cash in his wallet on the small piece of jewellery. [/blockquote][/blockquote] • • • TAGGED! If Fallon didn’t think this thing with Gabe was going anywhere, she wouldn’t have put him, either of them through the torture of a little bit of pleasure before the inevitable pain. But the petite blonde couldn’t picture her life without the scholar in it. Before, it had been in friendly capacity, but now? Everything was different. They didn’t talk about the future, and Fallon had a small feeling it was because of her but she wasn’t about to call it; especially since it was probably true. She’d taken off those rose coloured glasses and had stopped wanting those things that came with “true love” and “happily ever after”. She still wanted those things, always had but she’d buried the thoughts so deep that she’d let reality seep in.
And then that night happened with Gabe and everything she thought she never wanted came flooding back. She didn’t want to say anything though, everything was still too new and she didn’t want to ruin it by saying as much. Rolling her eyes, Fallon grinned. “You’re the only who thinks so,” she said mildly. The only good thing about having a flushed face was that she didn’t need to buy blusher anymore; not that she wore much in the first place. She knew even before anything could progress any further, Gabe was going to want her to meet his family. It was inevitable with how close the family was. It also meant she had to tell him the truth about her own mother. She didn’t lie exactly; she just let everyone assume she was gone, even though she still lived in Los Angeles. And Fallon really wanted to see where Gabe came from, meet the people who shaped the man she fell in love with.
It didn’t matter what she found while she was in Nebraska with him, she would still love him. “It’s only fair, you’ve see all the wonderful pictures of me plastered all over the house!” she reminded him. Trevor had been a camera happy guy, still was really. He was constantly taking pictures when she was growing up, and of the silliest things like playing dress up in the wardrobe department with the group that worked the department. Even now when she went home for visits, he was at the door when she pulled up with the camera at the ready. She thought he was just waiting around, trying to get pictures of her doing something stupid, or falling or something, but every picture he printed off and put in either a frame or a photo album just for the memories. “You fell for the girl in those pictures.” That was probably not exactly the same since she hadn’t changed much since she was a kid.
Fallon caught the little box out of reflex than anything else, grinning at the magic trick. Her eyes widened at the small square box in her hand, though. Her heart began to race as she tried to talk herself down from a panic attack. It couldn’t be what she thought it was; could it? Maybe it was just a nice pair of stud earrings? Her brain wasn’t letting her heart have a say for once though and within seconds her heart was slowing down to a normal pace. Her blue eyes flicked up to look at her boyfriend quizzically. “Gabe, what is--” she started to ask as she opened the box and looked at the contents. Her heart melted at the sight of the dazzling blue topaz ring. “It’s stunning,” she said, taking the ring from the box. She slipped it on her right hand ring finger and stared at the new sparkly bauble. She leaned over and pressed a quick kiss to Gabe’s lips. “Thank you, it’s beautiful!”

Gabe wanted to be able to prove to Fallon that happily ever after could exist. They might not ride off into the sunset in a pumpkin carriage, or have fairies and woodland creatures as their closest friends, but they could still have that life that many people only dreamed of. Taking it slow for now though, Gabe just wanted to get used to what they had between them and let the whole high he had from finally getting the girl settle a little bit. He loved her and wanted to give her the world and then some, but it was still early days and there was still a lot he knew they had to get through before Fallon would probably believe most of that. He was fine with it though; he’d do whatever it took to make her see that happy ending could be theirs.
The scholar rolled his eyes and let out a mock exasperated sigh. Fallon seemed adamant that he must be the only man truly attracted to every little thing about her and yet Gabe saw the way guys looked at her whenever they were out. Most of the time he saw them glance his way too and look disgruntled that a girl like Fallon might actually want to be seen with a messy haired geek such as Gabe. At the end of the day, it was him who got to hold Fallon and curl up next to her in bed, so those men could think what they like about the couple. “No, I’m just the only guy allowed to tell you that.”
Guys could look at Fallon and buy her drinks in the club, but Gabe did have a line and if someone crossed it then he would snap and get all cave man like. He didn’t enjoy violence and most of the time he only hit to defend himself and it usually came after a black eye was already forming on his own face, but he would hit someone when it came to Fallon and keeping her safe. She might have been perfectly capable of taking care of herself, but Gabe would do something uncharacteristic if it boiled down to it. Their Nebraskan home had walls lined with photos of them all, but the photo albums took up a considerable amount of shelf space in his mom’s study too. She had one for each son, a number of general family albums and then a few that were filled with holiday snapshots. If they ever needed to do a “This Is Your Life” style party, then she had more than enough photographs to support the memories and the tales. “Ah yes, but I have yet to see a photograph of you resembling The Milky Bar Kid.” There seemed to be an unspoken rule about childhood correction lenses, where they had to be paired with the least stylish frames on offer. He had the big goofy glasses back then too and looking back they had seemed too big for his features. Plus, there was the whole embarrassing fashion faux pas of the nineties to contend with and Gabe’s wild hair that had been untameable even then. “I did, but the girl in those pictures was just as beautiful then as she is now.” He said, complimenting her with ease and a loving smile. For an intelligent man, Gabe hadn’t stopped to think about what Fallon might think the second her eyes fell on the small jewellery box. He just knew that Fallon enjoyed her jewellery and that he wanted to surprise her with a gift on their date; this ring just happened to be perfect. Plus, it looked nothing like a diamond to signify forever, so the chance of a misunderstanding hadn’t cropped up under that messy hair of his when he had been planning this evening out. Grinning, knowing that he had gotten it right, Gabe stole another kiss from his girlfriend and then leaned back in his chair just a little. “I’m glad you like it. I saw it and I just - I thought of you.” He said with a small shrug as the waitress came by to take their food order. [/blockquote][/blockquote] • • • TAGGED! If there was ever a person in the world to show Fallon that everything she wanted was within reach, it was Gabe. He could make her believe in anything, so long as he believed in her. That was all she really needed. Fallon had confidence in Gabe, she was invested in their relationship; the simple fact was she loved him. There was nothing that could change that. She had unknowingly loved him for seven years, unknowingly broke both their hearts every time she said a flirty quip or spent the night at the Frat House. Now that she saw it, and it was official and everything, she didn’t want to lose him. She wanted to take things slow. Even though they knew each other, and well, it was still new and she didn’t want to say something that would ruin that; though she wasn’t sure if there were words to do that.
Fallon saw some of the looks too, but she knew better than to think that went further than skin deep. She was tiny and blonde; she was a life size Tinkerbell or dress up doll. There were guys who liked that, but it was only her looks. She was certain if any of those guys ever got to know Fallon, they’d be running scared or refer to her as one of the guys from then on. She dressed girly and wore heels practically all the time, but that was basically where it all ended. She was still referred to as one of the guys with the rest of the guys from Gabe’s and Myles’ fraternity. But Gabe knowing it all, still loved her. She saw the looks Gabe got, too. Underneath that overgrown shaggy hair was a gorgeous, intelligent, amazing and kind of clumsy man. Fallon was secure enough in the relationship not to be jealous anymore. Like the guys that looked at her, they could look but the second they touched, they’d have a pint sized doll handing them their asses. “I wouldn’t believe any of them anyway,” she said with a shrug. She’d grown up around beautiful people. She hardly thought she was one of them, even when they said how she was a beautiful little girl, how she was going to turn into a heart breaker when she was older. Of the things she’d heard growing up, that was probably the one she should have listened to most, because it had been predicted. Too bad no one told her one of those hearts would be her own.
Fallon had lost count on how many photo albums Trevor had in his home office there were filled with pictures of the two of them. Whenever Fallon had been around Trevor mysteriously produced a camera. It had never failed. There were pictures upon pictures capturing memories both good and bad. There really didn’t need to be pictures of the days when she broke her arm, though there were a dozen from the hospital when someone finally caved and called Trevor. It wasn’t like she was ever going to forget the day she’d finally done something stupid enough to break a bone. “No, I suppose not,” she said on a sigh. She’d been lucky not to have needed glasses or braces. Knowing her, she would have had her glasses lost or scratched in a matter of minutes and braces meant no gummy candies and she loved sour gummy worms. Still, Fallon wanted to see a younger version of Gabe, with his big glasses and even bigger happy smile. “And I fell for the handsome, geeky boy with his unruly hair. You’ve gotten taller and you’ve filled out but nothing had changed. You’re still a know-it-all,” she said, teasing him lovingly. Fallon couldn’t keep her eyes from the pretty new bauble. It was such a sweet gift, and something Gabe would do. “It’s perfect,” she said, running out of words to describe her new piece of jewelry. After a moment, though, Fallon looked up at the waitress and smiling, she ordered the chicken fajitas she wanted before handing the menu back to her.

This was something Gabe wasn’t quite used to. He did want to take things slow and not risk ruining anything that they had together, but the fact of the matter was that Fallon had been one of his best friends since the day they had met on that UCLA campus. She probably knew more about him than Myles did, and not just because they were dating now. He loved her more than he could begin to believe and they had known each other for so long that sometimes it was hard not to talk about the future, especially when he thought about it so damn much whenever he was with her. There were nights when she’d be curled into his side and Gabe would just lay awake, envisioning the perfect life with her. It was a little scary sometimes with the places his thoughts took him too, but it was also exciting. There weren’t many promises he could make to her just yet, but there were plenty that he could think of and most of them were promises of forever. He just didn’t want his girlfriend heading for the hills.
Gabe didn’t really get jealous of the guys who stared at Fallon or those who approached her at the bar sometimes. He kept an eye on them, sure, but his girlfriend knew how to take care of herself. Unless the guy did something to provoke him, or that had Fallon looking more uncomfortable than pissed he knew that he didn’t have to get involved; she’d send them on their way easily enough without the lanky scholar stepping in. It was rare that things were the other way around, though Fallon did point out whenever a girl apparently had her eyes on Gabe. The PhD student always said that she was probably looking at Myles, but Fallon never bought it. It wasn’t like Gabe was interested anyway; he had Fallon and she was all he ever wanted. “Not even me?”
He put his hand to his heart and pretended to look broken. “That hurts, Fall. You wound me.” He knew that whenever he complimented her, denial seemed to be her go-to thing, but that never deterred him. Gabe loved seeing her reactions too much, the way the light blush would flood her cheeks whenever he caught her off guard with something. Gabe really had lived those awkward teenage years to the max. Somehow, he had avoided most of the teasing taunts from classmates, though he strongly believed he had his older brother’s and their reputation to thank for that. It had paved the way through high school and made people expect him to be the same, though they soon found that the similarities ended when Gabe wasn’t in a pool and even then he never joined the team or wanted to compete. He was far happier with his books and his friends, but was just one of the lucky ones that the bullies rarely chose to pick on. Besides, when they did, he always seemed to have an intelligent and slightly confusing ramble prepared that would stop them in their tracks. “Oh, I was never handsome. Believe me. I had a perm.” It had actually been a temporary thing for Halloween senior year, but there were plenty of photographs that people questioned it whenever they saw him. “And according to my mom, I had more weight on me as a kid.” He had never been overweight, or anywhere close to it, but he did shoot up and take the weight he did have with him into that six foot one frame he had now. “I was a know-it-all, though.” He said, grinning and reaching for his glass. When he first met people he was modest about his intelligence and this was a side he reserved for those who knew him best, like Fallon. He smiled as she eyed up the ring again. Knowing that she liked it was more than enough for Gabe, who had been nervous when he first bought it; unsure of it she would like the cut or even the colour of the ring. “Then it’ll suit you just right.” He beamed, taking another sip from his drink before returning the glass to the coaster and ordering the chicken pitta and fries that had caught his attention moments before. Sometimes Fallon wondered if it was stupid for them to be taking things slow. They’d waited seven years for this to happen, wasn’t that long enough? And were they technically taking things so since they already knew almost everything about each other. They’d seen each other at their worsts and at their bests, what more could they say. But the pretty blonde couldn’t say she minded all that much either. This relationship was still new, at least this part of it was. She wanted to enjoy this honeymoon phase that they were in, even if they weren’t trying to impress each other on their dates or tell little white lies to save themselves from embarrassment; for the most part they’d been there for those stories! Fallon wouldn’t admit to it out loud but there were nights when she dreamed of the future, or days when she caught herself at her desk daydreaming.
Fallon didn’t see the big deal when she was stopped by strangers or whispered about in the halls of the school. She had a good complexion and she worked out daily, she took care of herself. She really didn’t see what others saw in her because she brushed off their compliments with easy smiles and a quick thank you that was basically empty. Even when Gabe said something sweet to her, she just rolled her eyes at him and brushed it off with a silly remark. She liked hearing what Gabe had to say. He was sweet and made her believe like his words could be true. It was sort of backwards how she was, since she’d grown up the way she had. Really, she should have been ridiculously vain, thinking she could have any man that walked her way but she didn’t believe that; especially since everything that happened with Brad. She hit him with a very bland look. “I could,” she said, poking the air in his direction. “Don’t tempt me,” she added, picking up her sugary sweet drink.
Thankfully, Fallon had missed out on most of the teasing and taunting of high school drama. There were a few things said when she did make an appearance but she was far more capable of working with insults than she was with compliments. She knew how to ignore those and brush them off because of jealousy or because there was just nothing better to talk about at the time than the new girl. The tiny blonde was quite the contradiction to say the least! “I wouldn’t say that. You’re handsome now,” she said, finding it far easier to compliment other people. “And everyone has that one poor decision about style. I had a bob,” Fallon admitted, shuddering. It had been a terrible idea, but because it was so hot, and she was so stubborn, she’d decided while she was in playing with the makeup artists, she’d cut her hair, which lead to one of the women in the trailer on set “fixing” it before Trevor had them both drawn and quartered. Of course, she’d been five and had thought it a wonderful idea, even said as much when she revealed the new ‘do to her uncle while holding Maggie’s shaking hand. The only thing Trevor did was laugh and yell for a camera to take about a million pictures.
The blonde professor could hardly believe Gabe had any weight on him at all; even baby fat. Half the time Fallon saw him, she was wondering if there was anything to him aside from the skin and bones! It wasn’t like those girls she saw where she just wanted to shove a cheeseburger down their throats, but there was hardly any extra on him! “Hmm, yes I still see the orange tint from your Oompa Loompa days,” she said dryly. “Yet you can’t hold a tan, interesting.” It had taken some time to get to know Gabe but once she had he was always there with little tidbits of information no one really asked for sprouting simply from something someone said to him or around him. It actually amused Fallon more than anything. She would say something, being her usual sarcastic self and he’d come back dissecting her remark. “Still are,” she said under her breath though loud enough for her boyfriend to hear so she added an innocent smile.

At least with their relationship they knew the person they had fallen for long before anything turned romantic. There were going to be no nasty surprises, no psychotic exes lurking in the shadows and they had been through so much as friends that it really only strengthened them as a couple. Myles would tease and joke about everything and tell Gabe that there was no way left to surprising the blonde girl who had stolen his heart, but as always, Gabe had plenty of tricks up his sleeves and countless ways to bring a smile to Fallon’s face and to make her laugh. Small gifts, geeky little quirks that he did…he had even convinced the cleaning staff to unlock Fallon’s office while she was off teaching so that he could slip a little bunch of flowers and a sweet note on her desk. It was one of the upsides of knowing the classics and the myths inside and out; it had left Gabe with a romantic streak that was either interpreted at sweet or vomit worthy and luckily, Fallon had not yet complained.
Gabe loved that Fallon didn’t see herself in some glorified light. If she did she probably never would have looked twice at him. Besides, he fell for her just a little bit more each time that one of his compliments brought a blush to her cheeks that she tried to combat with an eye roll or a quick quip. He saw it each time though, and it was enough to make him pull her into his arms and steal another quick kiss from her. “Would you really set out to wound the man you love? The man you’ve love for most of your adult life?”
He said, pretending to be hurt by her words again. He grinned, smirking across at Fallon as he fixed his glasses back into place. “To you, maybe.” After everything bad that had happened in previous attempts of dating and relationships, Gabe really only saw his intelligence as any decent kind of trait. And, even that had been the cause of several break ups; girls grew bored of how much he knew or of him expanding on what they knew on a topic. It wasn’t like he did it on purpose or to annoy them. He just found it all so interesting that he felt like he had to share it with everyone around him. “I bet you still looked adorable.” Gabe could never really comment on anyone else’s style when his was as quirky as it could be at times. Fallon had already pulled several things from his closet or hamper and asked him why it existed and why he owned it. He laughed it off now, but he really didn’t have much of an interest in the every changing trends and it was rare that she shopped anywhere other than the places he had always shopped. Gabe was used to people “reminding” him to eat. The funny thing was that he usually had the most junk food funnelled into his system and while Myles was working out in their shared apartment Gabe was usually reading with a giant bag of gummy bears or walking through the front door after taking a trip down to the take out place. He did eat, but somehow burnt it all off. Rolling his eyes Gabe shook his head. “The sun isn’t my friend.” He replied, shrugging lightly. Why he couldn’t hold a tan he didn’t know. He had spent most of his life outdoors, especially when he moved to California. Still, he was the ghost on all the photographs, looking more like Casper with each summer that passed and left all of his friends with bronzed skin. “I know.” He grinned, acting smug, though really he wasn’t. He liked knowing so much, but he only knew it because he went out there and put the effort in to find it all. Gabe was an incredibly hard worker, even if it seemed like his knowledge came naturally to him some of the time to the surrounding world. [/blockquote][/blockquote] • • • TAGGED!
