The gym. A place the former Golden boy could go to. Back at Brooklyn, he would never go far for his daily routine. A jog around the corner, circles the neighbor’s park and then head back around the corner was his jog route. In his room, few dumbbells arranged in a rack were his best friend. The stairs of his house porch was his legs master trainer. The normal everyday (not really) objects were used. That was back when he lived with his parents and his bratty little sister. Now, living out on his own, right at this dorm he shared with a fella who barely there; the campus’s gym was just an acquaintance of his. On the weekend, when classes were none to disturb him, Adam Judd would go there in his shorts and muscle tee and work his self senseless.
He hate to see a bit of fat jutting out threatening his used to be hard rock 6 pack. Studies kept him away from his routine, which he takes religiously. Running on the treadmills or lifting weights were rarely done by him. The only thing he’s been carrying was his Shakespeare books, a textbook on the Romantic and the Decadence and a recent favorite, The Mockingbird. How hard it was! Never in his mind, would he go far beyond from being a jock to a literature student. “Gotta work! Gotta work! Gotta work!” he told himself as he walked down the steps into the hallway, heading towards the corner where the campus’ gym would be.
It was early in the morning. His roommate just got in and sleeping like a baby minus the intense snoring fest he performed. Adam quickens his pace and entered the gym. As expected, since it was early, no one was there. “Perfect!” Adam cheered. Now, he can work in peace. Heading to one of the treadmill, he put down his towel and water bottle and did some stretches. Warming up his limbs, he hopped on the treadmill and started of slow.
