1) One word that's big around here is respect. We want this place to be as drama-free as possible, which means no bitching at people or making moutains out of mole hills. As admins, we won't tolerate those of you who break this rule. You'll get a warning, and if we find that you're causing drama outside of plots again, there will be consequences. Also, be nice in the cbox. Its kind of obvious. RPing is supposed to be fun, not full of virtual fighting.
2) This one is something that Proboards in general requires. All threads must be PG-13. Which means nothing over that. If it wouldn't be in a PG-13 movie, it can't be on the site at all. If you want to carry it over into emails, that's fine by me. Or, you can just skip to the next morning in your thread. That'll work perfectly fine, too. But I really don't want the site to get closed down, so this will be heavily enforced. You'll be asked to edit your post and if you don't do it within 48 hours, we will delete the post/thread. (Rule Words: City Lights Forever)
3) Ah, graphics. Well, your character's sig should be no bigger than 450x400. If its larger, it stretches the board and none of like a messy site! An admin will PM you and ask you to re-size your sig if you put one up that does stretch the board. We'll even do it for you if you ask! I promise, we don't bite. Avatars should be 125x200 and no larger. They can be smaller if you want, but it'd be nice to have everyone with the same size.
4) When you post in a thread, please use correct grammer and capitals. And, as much as you can, avoid spelling errors. Every makes a mistake on occasion, and we won't be so picky as to go through and read everyone's posts, but don't make a habit of always posting in lower case and using text talk instead of actual words. We definitely won't be happy about that and you'll be asked to go through and edit your posts! Posts should be in third person, and try to write at least 250 words per post. That's a reasonable count, not too high and not too low. It might go up as we get more members, but that's what its set at for now. (Real Rule Words: New York Never Sleeps.)
5) Now to talk about applications. I know, its a little bit lengthy, but you should be thanking me for that. It'll help you to get to know and understand your character better! When you post your app, be sure to title the thread as "LAST NAME, First Middle" with the last name being in caps, the rest capitalized correctly. For example: "CURTIS, Arabella Marie." That would be the correct title. Also, in your Profile (the page that comes up when you click "Profile" at the top of the page) please have your name with correct capitals, and not all caps. I have a code on the site that automatically resizes the names so they're in caps everywhere else, which means you don't have to have your display name as "EMMA" to get it to look that way around the site. The correct way would be "Emma," with a capital for the first letter of each word. And remember to check the face claim before you fill out your app. I don't want to have to get picky about playbys and whatnot. If the person you want isn't on the list, go ahead and take them, though. It means they're free game! And, lastly, when you do fill out your app, please try to make your person as real as possible. Nobody is completely perfect, and getting huge fortunes left to you by unknown realtives very, very rarely happens these days. Once you finish your app and think its ready for me to look over, please copy and paste the code from your post in the Unfinished board and start a new thread in the Finished board. Delete the post in the unfinished, and I'll know you've completed your app.
6) To sum of this lovely list of rules, I'll state the obvious one. Have fun! This is a RPG site, afterall, and isn't that what role playing is about? Having fun and creating super-amazing plots with others. Remember to keep all the other rules in mind and this one should come without a problem. :)
